At it again! Tories plan to hit 2.9million with VAPE TAX

To be fair, the headline of this thread is misleading and just anti Tory. Don’t kid yourselves that Labour won’t tax our vape products, in fact they would Probabaly tax it far more, similar levels to tobacco. People forget how much tax we always pay under Labour, both stealth taxes and personal taxes. I prefer my country having a decent economy where people are not afraid to spend more and money goes round, and being able to afford to go out and shop for what I want rathe than an economy where people don’t want to work or start new businesses and prefer to rely on the state as taxes are so high. I don’t mind paying a tiny amount more in tax on my ejuice, especially if it goes towards helping more people stop. After all, it’s the Tory’s that introduced vaping into the NHS as a way to help stop the ciggies, something most Labour politicians were completely against.

The Tories introduced vaping into the NHS? When was this?

And

And one of the first official publicly funded trials on the NHS

They are now officially advising people of vaping as a smoking cessation alternative on the NHS, it’s still a start, and our gover then any other government worldwide. Soon they will be giving out ecigs, (I have it on good authority) but don’t expect getting a high end squonking device ;)

Those links are to ENHS sites that only give advice on vaping. I don't see any Tories introducing vaping anywhere?

Actually, when the Tories have cut funding to the NHS, and are busy trying to privatise it, I find it insulting that you are trying to defend them. Tories don't do nice.

What I meant is its the government that introduced vaping ‘as an acceptable smoking cessation’ alternative, not physically introduced vaping into the NHS per say. Read up on the Government control plan on vaping too and you will see how liberal they are compared to other countries. Reason why I say it’s the Tories is because the Tories ARE in government and the government controls the department of health which is in ultimately in charge of the NHS and they accepted all recommendations without too many issues.

The government didn't introduce vaping. I've already asked for examples of the Tories doing so. You have linked to some NHS sites giving advice on vaping. Where is the money for vaping equipment coming from when NHS budgets are being slashed by this Tory government?
I won't reply to any more of your political broadcasts as I don't entertain Tories in my life.

It’s obvious that you don’t like the Tories as you keep challenging me when I already explained what I meant, and you keep asking the same question repeatedly. Why can’t you accept giving our government credit when credit is due. For the final time, our government has accepted recommendations and introduced vaping as a smoking cessation alternative into the NHS after recommendations from the department of health... finally, and yes it’s a good start. Also, get your facts straight, there has been no cost cutting in the NHS, in fact the opposite with 10 billion extra put in between 2014 and 2020. I presume you are repeating what the daily mirror is feeding you. Yes, we have a problem in the NHS and it is to do with people living longer, mismanagement, and EU migration but not actual cost cutting TO the NHS but the Tories. Rather than attack the Tories all round based on your presumed hatred (Tories are not all toffs you know). Tories are actually better economically for working class people (but perhaps not for lazy non working people - the ones who choose not to work though) so I just don’t get the hatred unless your were still a miner in the 80’s then I get you. How about acknowledging and accepting the fact that this country was bankrupt when the Tories took over from Labour who wasted our high taxes, and there would probabaly be a worse NHS by now if it wasn’t for cost cutting (not from the NHS but from other nessasary public sector sections). You really think things will be better off with Labour now running our country and with that Hezbollah and Hamas loving twit Corbyn leading it? If that happens, we would have had an economic meltdown so great it cause 20 years of depression for us all. If that happens there will be no money left to pay anyone and yes, our vape juice will Probabaly be taxed as much as ciggies to pay for it all. So while a good idea in theory, in practice, socialism never worked for long periods of time anywhere.

Are you related to Alf Garnett?
