Mod making question. Hi all. Can anyone help? I have been making my own mods for a while now and recently decided to add usb charging to an old 18650 parallel box. I have noticed that if I leave the atty screwed into the 510 while charging it fires with the charging current of 1a. I have used an n channel mosfet. Do I need to use a p channel or fit a diode somewhere in the circuit? Any help welcome.

Metal mod body? The outside of the USB plug is probably connected to the battery negative so it's bypassing the mosfet and firing. Either insulate the 510 from the body or insulate the cut out/USB port for the charge lead or preferably do both. Clear nail polish works pretty well as an insulator.
