What's new

bad tasting e juice will steeping help?

How can it be a new batch, we are still in July..........................
well its only 2 weeks until august and if it has a use by daye of august 2020 then thats already 2 years shelf life so im guessing it was mixed not long ago.

Personally I would bin it.
Steeping is really only only needed with DIY liquid.
Basically, if diy, or shop bought, if it tastes really bad then no amount of steeping will change it.

This just isn’t right at all. The vendor might just have mixed it, no? Also, some concentrates/blends don’t taste nice when just mixed, but can taste good after sitting a while.

You should edit your post and delete what you typed, it’s bad advice.

Would you send out liquids that you know (presumably) won't taste good when the customer gets them without any kind of warning or instructions not to vape them immediately?

.... anyway Karl, no harm in trying but I don't think you'll turn a liquid that 'tastes horrible' into anything other than a liquid that 'tastes slightly less horrible' by sticking it away for a couple of months.

I'm going to use your favourite term. Steep. Lol.

Yeah I'd give it a few weeks and try it again. Some juices are marginally less nasty (obviously all juice is subject to the user's taste).
Some juices like blueberry take a good while to to steep and can taste odd at first but improve hugely with time.

I'd say that juice has a profile that will improve with steeping, the issue being that if you don't like the taste it won't help.

If it's just that the chocolate is a bit harsh or the pastry is bitter it's worth trying.

Whaaa most shortfalls need a steep after you add the nice shot.

^^^This. I always leave a shortfill stand for a few days after the nic has been added and they seem to improve. I have had a few juices that have benefited from a little stand for a week or so. But it has always been because of weak flavour, not a bad taste.
