hi. I'm planning on starting to diy from next week and I'm probably going to start half basic at first before I start to experiment. so my question is....

how much flavour do I mix into the liquid?

not planning to get it but say I got red astaire concentrate. I am planning on 75 vg mix and I'd preferably like to knock up 100 mil bottles as I'm going basic at first. so how much roughly in millilitres would I have to add of the flavour? just a straight out how much pg and how much concentrate to make up the rest?

general question I know but any calculations seem to be for recipes rather than straight mixes.

and I'm not using nicotine so not factoring that in at all.

up to 20% of flavour.

Basic fruit and menthol can be mixed, shook and vaped straight off ;)

You need to just work it out yourself. Some vendors have recommendations, but it all comes down to how strong you want your flavor.

Some concentrates tend to be week, equaling a higher percentage, whilst others are rather strong, equaling lower percentages.

that's the hope at the start! haha only want to start with 100 mils with the idea of getting a litre of vg and knocking a load together that can also steep whilst I vape the others.

I'm not planning on mixing complex stuff straight off but at the same time I don't want just strawberry or just a plain flavour I could just buy from one pound liquid lol at most I'd mix a fruit and cream or if the flavours are cheap enough, use a blackcurrant and grape and mix the vim to from the recipes here and use the rest to make a plainer flavour.

to be honest no idea until I sit on payday and buy the stuff like nut been looking on chefs vapour as a jump off point for buying them. guessing they are as good as anywhere?

I guess that is an issue for me but I don't want to begin with anything complex, just try with either simple mixes or a straight up flavouring. so not a plain boring flavour but something worth the effort compared to buying the stuff.

I have a bit of a candyfloss concentrate here though, is that going to make a decent flavour by itself?

Yeah keep it basic mate, though complex flavors really are not a struggle, it just takes more time, so best to get yourself on your feet first! :)

Candyfloss will make a sweet vape, should be fine as a standalone, though does tend to be used with other flavors.

This is who I use, most of the flavour info box's will give you an idea as to what the recommended % to use http://thee-cigshop.co.uk/DIY/Flavo...ramel-Capella-Flavor-Drops-Concentrates-100ml

for recipe's there's a few on here to start you off E-Liquid Recipes | Planet of the Vapes

yeah I am just making it myself for the basis of economy more than anything else. This is my thought process.

I have been buying 150 mil of drip drop and it doesn't last me the month so I buy expensive bits from vendors a couple of times. last month got the bogof on aerovape and not the best but quantity wise more than enough. The way I worked prices out for amounts, it could cost me the following;

1 litre vg = under six quid
100 mils pg ( 75 vg) a couple of quid.
supplies- perhaps around a fiver or so for about 4-5 100 mil bottles, couple of siringes.

concentrates perhaps around 15 to cover different flavours. can push that to 20 if I know what I'm doing.

so that's roughly the same as I paid last.month and enough liquid to last me for around 4 months pending buying concentrates at payday next month which can be around a tenner or just over.

so yeah, that's my thought process! same price as what I'm buying budget now I can get a few months worth and once I buy some batteries for my sub box I can vape as much as I want knowing a new batch is possibly 10 minutes away!

This place is worth a look to buy your VG/PG lubrisolve | eBay

Bottles Bottles4Us - Bottles4us.co.uk

I was looking at lubrisolve for the litre yeah but cheers for the bottles heads up! will check them out.

Have been looking on the other site you sent me as well and 4 quid for the perfume apprentice is looking appealing to me! not got my initial ideas on there but I'm sure over the next week I can figure out how to factor a marshmallow or milk mix with what they have! I'm tempted by the honey as well although the description isn't ideal
