My battery wraps were cracked so I decided to replace them (with free wraps that fogstar gave me when I bought these batteries).

It was my first time rewrapping and my hand slipped whilst blowing the battery on the right hand side of both images.

As you can see it's not sitting correctly, a little too much material on the positive end and not quite enough on the negative end.

This is the only set of wraps I own and feel like I've buggered the process.

By looking at the images what do you guys suggest. Buy some new wraps and do it again?

Or are these perfectly safe to use as they are?

The wraps are fine.

Of greater concern is the dented cell ends.

You're a bit shy on one negative end, I've used worse after a rewrap.

I can't feel the dents with my finger. I think the light might be exaggerating them.

Regardless do think the are cause for concern?

Just to add.

There are certain designs of mech I wouldn't use the one on the right in...

I'd have to assess them in person really - it may well be the way the lens caught it exaggerating the effect.

I've binned cells that looked less dented.

And I've used much worse wraps ;)

The wraps look fine.
Always good to keep some wraps handy to re wrap as soon ss you need to.
If you brought the batteries from fogstar have a look in their repair center for wraps at a good price, they like to keep thier customers safe.

As above from Frogprince, I've used Fogstar batteries almost exclusively for a couple of years now. Any issue and their customer service and advice has been second to none. Hence why I've had no reason to buy elsewhere!

OP is is possible to take some more photos of your batteries from a few angles/different lights to help us advise you best? Last thing we want is a POTV member using potentially dangerous batteries!

I inspected them again , tiny dents you can barely feel.

I've ordered some new batteries, I'll just keep these as backup.

On another note. I put a different set in my new geek vape nova mod.

Checked them just now. They look the same as the batteries I just rewapped, tiny tiny dents on the negative ends.

Hmmm so mabye it's my new mod that's doing it... ffs
