Well there are VTC5's but they don't come out of a sony factory. Sony even put out statement about it a few months back.
No one has genuine Sony vtc5's. They are an urban myth, a lot like the one that says that hazza1962 has a sense of humour.....it's just not true

Minimum specs you should be looking for is 18650 3.7v 20A and the most popular capacity is 2500mAh.
As hazard mentioned we cannot comment on the batteries you have as we don't know where that are come from. Battery safety is important so try to get the best you can.
My favourite batteries are Samsung 25R and Sony VTC5. You can find these on above mentioned dealers and you would have the assurance of having genuine brands.
So carleycrouse please ignore my posts. These guys have been in the vamping game far longer than I have so it would be wise for you take their advise and accept my apologies as I have no intent to mislead you.
You're not misleading anyone dude, gave sound advice - the between the lines of the press release is:
-eerrr yeh we might have made them for someones laptop/drill/electric skateboard.
-Thats their shit not ours, we may have sold allsorts to everyone.
-Some peeps got an inside supply, of batteries we may not have made
-If you blow your hand off its nowt to do with us.
So yeh they were kind of around, but sony never sold them as sony batteries - they sold them to other sellers to power whatever their product was, and only that product. The specs vary willldly no doubt.
i'm no expert, but i know if they could make more money than they could lose Sony would slap their name on anything, from their repsonse it looks like its more hassle/cost than its worth to take the risk.
so i wouldn't either.
Anyway in the world of 25rs being a tenner/pair delivered the next day i'd jump on them - no point in gambling
okay okay
I went to a shop this morning and talked to someone with a quad parallel diy mech box. He has efest batts and apparently they're powerful? I didn't get a good enough look or remember to ask which ones he had but they seemed a lot bigger than my current ones... This has made me question my choice in batts...
The more volts I have the better my amperage limits are, correct? So if I decide to do a parallel (which is what everyone is recommending and seems most logical) I'd like to have more volts than what 1 25r gives me..
or is that asking too much?
please pardon my perfectionism on this
