BBC video report: E-cigarette laws to change across EU

I find it interesting that the shop featured is still open and trading. Under current Belgian law, it's illegal.

Maybe a glimmer of hope for the UK? Let's face it, the government has so much more important things to concentrate on - terrorism and flood defences spring immediately to mind.

My new year prophecy is not much will change. For a lot longer than the period of settling in. The money doesn't exist for the enforcement. The risks posed by vaping doesn't justify the expense. :D

Indeed @EthelKing Vapers all around the world that are living in countries/states that have very limiting restrictions and/or bans are still happily vaping away, no worries.

Iff they banned it here I would still happily walk about and Vape, with all the police cuts they have made there's nobody to police it

There is no reason to think using your kit will be banned, just what you can legally buy or sell.
The police will not come into the equation. It will be up to trading standards to make sure shops only sell legal kit, and customs to make sure illegal kit does not enter the country.

I will not be buying shoddy nhs approved kit, gearbest and fasttech will be my best friends, plus my step dad goes to China twice a year

BBC is just an unofficial government propaganda outlet. They tell you what the government wants you to believe.

Looking at the report, it appears the TPD regs in relation to vaping are going ahead, regardless of all the petitions, protests, scientific evidence gathering etc.

Basically, the government asks for opinions to make it seem like they're willing to listen to reasoned arguments but then disregard them and just do whatever the hell they want anyway.

Seems to me that government consultations are just 'moan sponges', designed to give a portal for the 'disgruntled' to air grievances....which will then be ignored.
