Strange experience with Smok Coil 0.4 ohm 40-80 watts (vaping at 55 watts), I Ultranonic Cleaned a coil that had only lasted 3 days, after cleaning and a week of drying out it tasted better and lasted 10 days.

My theory is the cleaning loosened the tightly packed cotton so let thicker juices through better, like I say it's a theory.

I get hat a lot but the guy is in my head, and I obey! - got 4 Smok mods and 6 Smok tanks thanks to him! Wibble

So true and amused me, yeah I am obsessed with saving money on coils, mixing my own juices etc. yet I spent my savings on shiny new stuff!
But it's become a hobby and get a lot of enjoyment out of it

Just an update, I went off and baught a TFV8 tank and some Q4', and the burnt flavour has gone!

Now, I'm vaping at 160w, and now... I'm having a new problem where I am worried about the mod going bang, or exploding in my face. I'm just always expecting it to explode, I dont know why.

I've used vapers toolbox to calculate the draw, but I dont know if the battaries are rewraps or not, but it does say 40Amp on each one, are they fakes? I guess we'll find out!

what batteries are you using? this is important at that wattage.
3000mah batteries like samsung 30Q or similar are fine at lower wattage below a round about figure of roughly 80watts.
much over (and you are way over) you should only use 2500mah batteries like the samsung 25R or similar from sony, LG.
there has also been fakes supplied by next day batteries so this company should be avoided like the plague.
Fogstar was awarded vendor of the year for a reason and i wouldnt buy from anywhere else. another recommended supplier is 18650UK

Using some "Premium Vaping" 18650s that were supplied on eBay with the mod., and it says on both batterys 40 AMP.

I was looking at the safety on my mod (Smok Procolor), I noticed it said something about over-current protection, but nothing about under current. I used the vapetoolbox on android, put in the wattage, ohms, and voltage, and its saying at 225w, the amp draw would be around 39.9Amp.

I want to go higher, but am to scared about what I am squeezing from the battries, Its definately discharging faster than its charging.

I know I should look into better batterys, but Ive got two gprive 2's on the way anyway.

But those clouds!! Was vaping yesterday outside tesco and you couldnt see the entrance, and people were just giving me dirty looks! I still want even bigger clouds though!

ive never seen them before but im no expert when it comes to batteries.
maybe @Ben fogstar can advise if you risk being on the front of newspapers soon.

i think massive clouds are best kept for home instead of pissing people off and giving the anti vaping brigade more amunition agains vaping.
