Hey folks,
17-year roll-up smoker and new to vaping, but been off the stinkies since my iTaste VV/VW V3 arrived in the post five days ago. Pretty chuffed with myself so far! I did what I suspect a bunch of you probably did - thought about vaping, decided to make the switch and give it a go, dropped £30-ish on a starter kit after watching LOADS of YouTube reviews, and figured I'd turn it into a new hobby I could become sufficiently interested in to take my mind off the stinkies. Like I said, a week in, and I haven't been tempted back.
Anyway, I seriously did epic nerdy levels of research (mainly YouTube-watching) while twiddling my thumbs waiting for my iTaste V3 to arrive, and I reckon I got a decent measure of the basics in that time. Long story short, the iTaste and five i16 clearomizers turned up on my doorstep after a knuckle-chewing 10 days' delivery time (one thing I've definitely learned from this VERY early on is that Amazon is NOT your best bet with vaping stuff! Steering well clear of that place for now... ), and since then I've been enjoying the journey with a few flavours and PG/VG mixes, etc etc. Of course, what happens then is that it's all plain sailing until something goes a bit wonky, and suddenly you're a total noob again - you find yourself in the dark, Googling for quick fixes that don't necessarily result in many hits for your specific issue (and this is totally exacerbated by being based in the UK...*so* much of the info out there in uploaded video-land is really USA-specific!).
So, just wanted to say hi, and that I'll be using this forum a fair bit I hope. I really want to do a bunch of useful reviews for newbies - starter products, juices, vendors, how the transition from roll-ups works in practice, etc - and hopefully get help from you guys to contribute to some easy-to-follow, jargon-free troubleshooting videos for the UK newcomer to vaping and e-cigs. (I've already run into a couple of interesting issues with i16s that I'm looking forward to throwing out there!)
Looking forward to chatting to some of you later, anyway - this is just a hello and a well done for all the super helpful posts I've already read. Nice community, looking forward to being a small part of it.
