Bacteria? Have you got a link to something about that? I'm under the impression it's a chemical process that can be hastened with heat and agitation. PG is used as an anti-bacterial agent elsewhere and expect it to retain that property in e-liquid.

That shit just kick starts the process. Steeping is the action of bacteria breaking down the liquid, so it's a gradual process as the liquid changes form. Heating improves the conditions for the bacteria initially and gains you a couple of days, not very significant if you steep for 3 or 4 months.

Sorry Ment your statement is false, Propylene Glycol kills bacteria in living organisms and air born bacteria very rapidly and is well documented check this link:

Sorry Daniel, but it isn't. That article refers to airborne bacteria. In liquid form, PG is nowhere near as effective and if you have, say, a 20% PG mix plenty of bacteria will survive.

I stand corrected :) but the bacteria is a marginal increase over tobacco smoke which is ten-fold so I have discovered.
Got any good links at hand to this information Ment ?

Not throwing wood on the fire here, genuinely interested.

Not that I'm an anti-bacteria freak, wouldn't the heat of a coil kill off the majority of any bacteria?

Always happy to learn :P

Partly, its the actual untouched liquid we are discussing but regardless bacteria is all around and in us, yes we are all riddled with bacteria every living thing is for better or worse :D
