Botton bacon Wick? Two types of V2.0?

So i normally use Cotton Bacon 2.0 or Muji. So i was getting a bit low on it so i ordered some. Right so what i normally receive is the one on the top in the pictures but what i got this time was the one in the bottom of the pic.



My first thought was oh maybe they just had a change of packaging design. So when i came to use some of the Cotton Bacon in the new look pack (in the bottom of the left pick and on the left in the right pic) it appears to me to be a lot different the way it feels for a start its not as fluffy its more coarse and tighter packed and just feels more dense but there both supposed to be Version 2.0. just put a Clapton build into my Mutation X V4 and wicked it with the newer looking pack see if its any different so far all i can tell is it sucks the juice up into straight away like lightning!

So have they slightly tweaked Cotton Bacon a bit and changed the packaging slightly but not released it as a new version? Or am i just been stupid and missing something or there most likely just the same and i seem to think there not, I can be a bit daft at times. Also have any other fellow apes noticed this?

I only have one CB2, but noticed exactly the same with Fibre Freaks 1. The stuff in the new packaging is different and superior to the older packs.

Maybe a sneaky upgrade to there cotton? Though they would just release it as V3 though?

Maybe they will, once the old v2 stock wrappers are used up.

I've just checked, and both my v2 packets are different. Time to open the newer one for comparison.

That is the only reason i opened the new to see if there was a difference. Must say the newer shiner packaged stuff seem a hell of a lot better IMO.
