Bought a SMOK ALIEN 220W Mod with TFV8 Baby Beast Tank

Hey ..its me again..more nooby questions. Been using the alien vape for afew days now and really enjoying it. Im looking into MTL tanks to try, im kind of on a budget for now so my options im thinking of is either the aspire k3 (but dont like the bottom fill idea when out and about) or the nautilus X (coz its got top fill) and fact you can fit the larger bubble glass but the nautilus is kinda top of my budget , i like the idea of saving on coil life and amount of juice and not botherd about cloud vaping so no to sub ohm tanks. Would the k3 be ok or will i get cheesed off on the bottom fill tank. My head says k3 but heart says nauty X. Pods have been mentioned but I dont really understand pods ..is there a one that fits the alien or is it a diffrent set up, ie pen style .

You can go with the K3, i had 2 and loved them, kinda miss them for mtl. The bottom fill is not such an issue as liquid consumption is quite low.
I used one with 1.8ohm coil for throat hit, 50/50 liquids, mostly tabacco and high nicotine. The second was running the 0.7ohm coil for fruity flavours up to 70/30. At 20W the 0.7 does give decent vapour. The k3 is a simple and efficient tank. Coils are cheap and it just works. Considering the price drop now, you can try it without any loss, i remember seeing new for £7 on ebay.

Pods are a different story, they are nice, i have 2, but in my opinion depending on what you choose could end up more expensive to run. Biggest advantage is to capability to easily use salts with high nic levels. I have 2 logic compacts that are really nice, 2 pods for £6 and they last a good while. I also have a refillable smok infinix, good but the pods tend to leak as the filling cap does not seal properly ( i use it for high pg CBD liquid).
The pods have evolved a lot lately as you have large ones, replaceable coils, higher battery's and other gimmicks. The pod principle is to keep it simple, charge the stick pop a pod and vape until empty. Can deliver decent cloud flavour and hit.

Thanks kytan Dale. But i have the alien to contend with so going the pod route is a no no . Just gonna have to try a MTL tank. Maybe the k3 is a good idea and if i prefer it to DTL with tank i have then i mite expand to a pricier top fill.
