Hi everyone, I thought I would use my silver cuboid so popped the batteries in, and for some reason I can't shut it with the batteries in place.

Without batteries in the clip mechanism works fine, and annoyingly on my other cuboid which won't seem to work the door shuts fine.

Are molicells slightly larger in dimensions than older batteries I used, such as the 25R? I ask this as when I slide the batteries into either cuboid, they get stuck as if they are slightly wider. I have to tap the mod on a hard surface to get them out.

If they are slightly longer this could explain why it won't shut. It is really annoying as when I try to close the door, the arctic fox logo comes up on the screen so I know the mod will work fine if I could just get the bloody door shut.

Any tips are much appreciated.

Have you got any other battery wraps, if so you could rewrap the battery and see if that helps.

Unfortunately I haven't, I used to have loads of yellow wrap on a roll that you cut to size and fit, but it seems like I don't have that now.

They have always been a tighter fit so I guess thicker plastic wraps.
It must be something like that. I just want to get the mod to bloody close so I can use it though lol

File out the inside of your mod. *I take no responsibility for you trashing your mod*
Unfortunately that won't work, as I can get the batteries in they are just a tight fit, its closing the bottom door that connects to the batteries to make the circuit work that won't close.

My molicel P28A's are tighter then other 18650's, sliding them into tube mechs the positive end of the battery is slightly wider.
I've vernier calipers to measure lenght, I'd need to put a insulator between the battery and calipers though as the calipers are metal.

Molicel are slightly longer than samsung 25r and like others have said the wraps are slightly thicker aswell. it's a weird one as you think all 18650 would be the same Size all around

Yeah thats what was puzzling me, there must be variations in the 0.1-02MM size for example to cause this between manufacturers. I am going to attempt one last time shutting the cuboid with a lot of force and see if I can manage it, as the cuboid is a great mod that also looks great in its shiny silver finish.
