can't get throat hit from nic juice when added to zero liquids

I recently had HoL make me a batch of 2mg Reserve which had just a slight throat hit.

I've since tried to add 52mg nic juice to various home brews and can almost never get a throat hit, even when I go to say 4mg. I recently added 8 drops of 52mg nic to 6.5ml of zero Reserve, tried it 24 hours later and it's the same as the zero.

Doesn't make sense, unless it takes days to develop?

The only thing I can really add to this, is that 4mg is still quite a low percentage of NIC. If it's merely throat hit you're after, look at adding vodka (Max of 5% I believe?), but start at 1 and go up SLOWLY.
OR, If you're feeling brave, get some 'nosferatu' from LTecigs, as that stuff will blow your cock, nose, and any other body parts it wishes to harm clean off your body
It also depends on the % of flavouring, % of PG/VG etc etc

well I'm thinking, if HoL made me a batch on spec, they basically took their zero and added 2mg. Which is what I did.

so, would you say that nicotine does not always = throat hit?

Exactly!
I've had 24mg juice which is as smooth as anything, and 12mg juice make me cough so much I thought I was going to be sick. Flavouring (To me anyway) plays a more important factor.

curious. Coz like I say in the above post, they made me up the 2mg on the spot. Or at least I think so because they don't sell 2mg. So maybe the vodka is the thing then.

or what about some whiskey if you wanted that kind of flavour to go with a smoky brew?

Never heard of whiskey being used if I'm honest!
I'm sure that someone wiser than myself can add some light on it. Only other one I know of is someone making their own absinthe e liquid, but I wouldn't recommend it myself!

To achieve stronger throat hit people generally use a higher ratio of PG.
PG for throat hit and VG for vapour.
