Changing liquids

Another question - guess I am going to have plenty over the next few days as I am still learning.

I have just started on an orange liquid in my ego but got a couple more in the post today. Do I need to vape all the orange before changing or can I just top up what's left in the tank with the new liquid (it's a baccy flavour). Can I just add to it or do I need to wash it out first? ...and can you wash out tanks?

Give the tank a good washout first,although more tanks would be better as citrus flavours are a bugger to clean out.

Not sure about washing out the tank but you will definetely need to get rid of what is in the tank, if you just top it up you'll get a mix of the two flavours - which might be great or might be Yech...

There is nothing to say that you have to clean everything out, in fact I've had some nice surprises when I've topped up with another flavour but as said above orange does tend to take over everything and its a stubborn flavour to get rid of. Not sure it would go with baccie but on the other hand you might have struck vaping gold by mistake

What type of tank are you using?

Some of them are easier to clean out than others. Tanks like vivi novas, evods and some of the newer CE4 tanks allow you to replace the head (the head is the part that heats up the liquid to produce the vapour)

Basically though you just rinse the tank under cold running water, when it all looks clean with no juice residue then it's good to go. Every once in a while (about every 2 or 3 tanks worth) it's a good idea to clean the head as well. If you can it helps to take the tank apart as much as you can for easier access.

You should be able to see a coil of wire wrapped around some white wicking material at the top of the tank. The wick starts out nice and white with a shiny coil and over time during normal use it goes dark brown/black. This is the liquid 'burning on' to the coil and is normal. The best way to clean this off is to burn it off. Rinse the tank/head off and then have your tank so that you can see the coils. Push the fire button for 2-3 seconds and it'll make a hissing noise and you'll see some steam coming off the coil, this is the water you flushed everything with evaporating. Let go of the button and wait a couple of seconds and then repeat this. You do this in pulses as if you just keep the button held in for a long time you run the risk of it overheating and the coil breaking. (most e-cigs have a cutoff function where it'll stop firing after about 10 secs even if you hold the button in constantly)
Once the water is dried up you'll see the coils glowing orange. Now you keep pulsing the fire button like before and when you see the coil is orange, let go and blow over the top of the coil. This burns the gunk that's on the coil and turns it into ash which you're blowing away. Repeat this 'dry burning' half a dozen times or so and you should see the coil and wick looking a lot whiter than before.

If you dry burn clean your heads every several tanks then the head should last longer and you'll get better performance out of it.

There aren't any issues with mixing e-liquids together. You might find though that you hate the new flavour you made and binning it, or you could get lucky and find a new combination you really like.

As others said Clean the head and top up or...get more heads so u can run more flavors or.. get a dripper and drip away ..i just kind of set fire to my wick and let it burn from self off all the juice.. don't try it on tanks..can grantee would work lol.. So yeah .. i usually top up tank with same kind of flavors if im lazy... aka fruit with fruit.. dessert with dessert..ect.. I think everyone has his own.. methond, theory.. u can always ask for advise, go ahead try 4 different way and u will find your way or adapt someones Its a lot trial and error.. or win win
