OK, so what's the best way to clean your gear? I've been vaping a little over a week and have just been vaping to near empty then topping up with a different juice (I have quite a few and being a newbie I want to try them all). Do you just rinse the tanks with water?. Hot or cold? How do you dry them? Do they need to be fully dry? I have an ego with plastic ce4 tank and a protank mini with glass tank. Thanks.

I clean mine with warm water and dab dry with paper towel but to be honest most times I just top up the tank with next juice

Midnight - If I'm putting the same juice in I'll refill (as Mr Fletcher does) about 12 to 15ml then take out the coil, wash it and dry burn it - probably less than this if it's GVC as it clogs the shit out of the coils. If I'm changing the juice I have a jam jar where I put all the things I need to clean and when it's full, I put a 'small' amount of Miltons and hot water and leave for 15 minutes then rinse them out, leave to dry and then dry burn before use. I used to use Vodka for the first couple of years and have now switched to Miltons as it's much cheaper and a bottle will last forever as well as completely removing the most stubborn of juices - just make sure you only put a small (as per the instructions on the bottle) amount of Miltons or it will crackle like hell and taste a bit like a swimming pool for a little while.

P.S. You might want to invest in a cheap bridgless Bauway 306 atty to test juices - they're cheap as chips and it saves having to clean out your tanks etc'.

@Markfletcher007. I have just done exactly that. I had parma violets in one of the tanks and wanted to get that smell/taste out. It was nice but it would spoil any other juice I put in after that, I think.
@Soldier Blue; Milton's is a sterilising liquid, I take it? I have some sterilising liquid under the sink. :)

Did you know?

According to the food hygiene act it's illegal to use Milton to sterilise things in a kitchen!

(it's based on bleach, bleach is banned)

This is ridiculous cos my mum used to sterilise baby bottles for me with it and I turned out OK. meh.

If the liquids you are changing between are similar you can just rinse everything in cold running water then dry burn the head on the atomiser and you'll be fine. Warm soapy water can also work well to clear off 'stubborn' juice residue, tho give it a good rinse first. Denture cleaning tablets are also a good way to deep clean tanks and stuff, again rinse in water afterwards.

If you make sure you leave it under a running tap for a couple of mins. Middy, it'll be fine. My wife puts tea stained teaspoons and cups in a bleach-based concoction for 24/48hrs and I rinse them out as above and use them straight after.

Miltons liquid is indeed a sterilising liquid so if it's good enough for babies bottles blah, blah, blah........just make sure you only put a small amount in but it will get rid of all the weird stuff. Menthol, mint, snake oil, citrus, pluid etc' it will get rid of it all.

As I said, I use a jam jar and when it's full of stuff that needs cleaning I rinse it all first with warm water to get the main stuff off and then put a mil or two of Miltons in the jar with hot water, leave it for 15 minutes, empty it and rinse the lot out with hot water and my gear looks as new as they day I bought it. Pat dry, leave overnight and then dry burn the coils and you're good to go.
