Confused where to start.com

this is where I get my Nic from, great quality and a good range of sizes. Personally I mix everything from scratch, I don't make up a big batch of base to add flavour when needed. I know it's probably easier in the long run but I'm just not that good at maths. I just use the ejuice app to get my measurements as its idiot proof and trust me-I'm an idiot :)

Thank you, love step by step, cant go wrong! Right, been over and ordered my bits and bobs, been to Alba and ordered my menthol and fish flavours, now last question is, under what section of Boots would they stock VG?

Lol we're trying to get in to the DIY as well. I like arts and crafts during winter, so see the mixing as a new hobby to get in to. Practice makes skill right. Must say jimbo's first trial wasn't exactly to my liking, but as said keep trying and create perfection eventually. Good luck!!!

Thanks PF for the tip with the £1.20p 200ml bottle from Boots the Chemist I will have to get some from there asap.

just found 5 liters of VG for £5 lol

Any one else know where you can get PG that cheap in that size or bigger ?

You can buy PG cheaper in 5 litre containers from Lincs Bio Fuels. But why would you want 5 litres, unless you were mixing commercially? A litre of PG if you cut it 50/50 with 52 MG base would give you with some flavours added about 2,200 ml of vaping. At 4 ml a day that's getting on for 18 months of vaping supplier.

If you want to save (and starting off DIY mixing, saving would not be my main priority - getting some decent flavour concentrates and all the additional ones and working up some vapes I liked would be my priority) the place to look is at nicotine base. I just bought 2 x 500 ml bottles of 75 MG base. 1 bottle will remain sealed until the other is empty. But I saved a huge amount and it's a bit of an insurance policy against anything loony happening with MHRA. PG needs loking after as it is hygroscopic and the problem with big bottles is air - the emptier it gets the more this is a problem - so you could end up loosing all your savings buying storage bottles. Fortunately I have some 250 ml ones from my previous purchases.

I got the 5 litres from Lincs Biofuels...when they started doing the food grade - have used it before and it`s fine.

Not only does it work out a bit cheaper than buying a litre every now and again, it`s in the house and don`t have to even think about it for "some time" - and it`s not going to go to waste.

I`ve actually got 12 litres of mixers in the house...just in case ;) #vaparanoia

Boots have it by the cough sweets and medicine. They were out of stock for ages so I had to buy the eBay stuff. It is a lot thick. At least with boots you know it is pharma grade. The eBay stuff seems fine though, a little thicker maybe.
diy is a great hobby, at first it is a little daunting but once you've done your first batch the worries go, and it is so satisfying when you hit one of those "magic" mixes. Last batch I started throwing my flavours around abit more and have come up with a strawberry waffle mix which is just lush :) I've really got to start writing down some of these recipes-doh!

PF...the "ejuicemeup" calculator has the ability to save recipes you enter into it, if you weren`t already aware. In case you`re better with the PC than bits of paper.

(I since found out that although it`s .NET reliant (yuk) it is effectively Portable once it`s been installed for the first time.)

This is the last Glycerine I tried http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/170888404...eName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649

£6.19 for a litre, delivered - not bad at all.

I use the iPhone one which I'm guessing is stripped down. Might have to look at using the full version :)

I think it all comes down to the purity grade you want.
Personally, I wouldn't use anything less than medical grade, and if actually certified much better, even if it costs me more.
If VG and PG in vaporized form are efficient carriers of nicotine for absorbtion, they will be as efficient for any impurity they contain, if the substance can be absorbed as nicotine does.
Our digestive tract is pretty efficient at breaking down nasties, so I leave food grade to food applications.

I bought 250 ml of 52mg nic ( I got it in VG when I should have got it in PG)

I half it with PG to get 500ml of 26mg nic. Then I added just a dash (probably another 10-20 ml of VG to bring it down a bit more) then the flavours are also PG which bring the nic down too...lol thats the extent of my scientific calculations and I will never ever get any more intricate than that.
