The virus originated in a place where there is a virus lab that is specificacally designed for creating, modifying and playing god with viruses and the like.

Call it a coincidence or call it fate, a bit like the arsonist found next to a burning building. you can't say it was him for sure but it is odd that they found him there.

Is it not possible that it did happen to originate from there? After all, even if it was true, would they honestly tell us?
