Coughing on Vape

I’m not sure anyone has said that. It’s more trying to help a new vaper trying to pack up smoking who might - might - have a DTL set up and is dragging on it like a ciggie and therefore coughing.

this in a nutshell.
most new vapours read or get told they need high nic like 18mg/12mg but then buy a kit that has a dtl tank and 0.5ohm coil. no wonder they are coughing.
yes 18mg is what i gave up with in a nautilus mini (only real mtl tank available back then) and then upgraded 3 weeks later to a kanger subtank mini which is still used daily 4 years later.
without the full facts of what the OP is using with what nic strength we will be going round in circles.
sadly there is now so much choice out there now with smok flooding the market with 220w starter kits which arent really starter kits.
yes i agree there are quite a lot that like to go straight to dtl but then there are also lots that would prefer mtl at low wattage with higher nic.
the reason i stayed on here is to help advise as many as possible to quit the cigs. weve done a good job so far so lets keep it going as best we can.

Most people post with good intent and advice, but yeah, earlier posts may have given a 'fruity' tone. I hope not.
@Aves, get yourself down to the local vape pen shop and get a cheap ecig. As long as you are not smoking, or spending as much as you were when you were on the fags, the job is a good un.
I probably MTL vaped for my first year, changing devices every 3-4 months. Every new vape was better than the last until eventually, I tried DTL vaping. These steps are called trial and error, there is no magic bullet for vape gear, because we are all different people. Sometimes, there can be too much advice to take in, so you still end up wondering at the end of it all.
The main thing, is to stay off cigarettes. Your health is far more important than the right vape. The right vape for you is most definitely out there, but you yourself will need to find it.

The troops on here, will be only too happy to answer your questions along the way.

So I'm using this as dtl is that why it's getting hot? Is it not a dtl? Is that why im constantly hittin on it? Why im thinkin of switchin to salts? Well shoot if it's not I gotta good while to wait for a new one :'((((

If it's got you off cigs, it's doing something right. It will get hot if you're constantly hitting on it You might find some 20mg Salts work for you dtl in the Eleaf. Just go easy with them to start with, they hit you pretty quickly.

Thanks I was wondering what mg I should start off with. Finally found a place near town that has a large selection of salts in gonna go check them out here soon

The strongest you will be able to buy in a shop will be 20mg.
That should feel real smooth as silk.
The problem you may find is the effects of to much nicotine, as you could with 18ng freebase nic, but you have already used high nic juice so should not be a problem.
So I would try that.

Oops, did not realise that.
Mind you, I would still say start at 20, and go upwards, not nuclear high, and then go down, but it depends on what freebase strength she has been using.

Yeah asked the shop over Facebook messenger what strength they have and he popped off 50 mg lol hoping they have the 20! Else I might have to do some mixing to tone it down!

Maybe go up to 25mg if they have it. Am I remembering right that you were a heavy smoker? You seem to have high tolerance to nic anyway. If you want stronger next time, you can always work upwards. I suspect diving in at 50mg dtl might cause you nic-sickness though, then it's wasted juice, cos you won't want to vape it again!
