Custards

:25: "nasties"
They're the three contentious ingredients in many concentrates. Though I'm thinking you knew that and the reply was more a laugh off. But in case it wasn't, there are lots of alternatives to those that contain them.
Personally I find it odd that people give up cigs because of health risk yet dont take similar, and often zero, precautions to the ingredients in their ejuice!
Anyway thats my explanation for my avoidance of the three.

It's just scaremongering, like the whole popcorn lung thing.

The alternative is butyric acid :puke:

That's what they use in the concentrates to replace DAAP, and also what gives the "v2" flavours that distinctive taste of vomit.
:)2I like Cap V2 Custard and Sugar Cookie. I keep hearing it tastes like that but all I get is nice custard. I do add FA fresh cream to it and sometimes Meringue. It does need a real good steep so maybe that's where people reckon it tastes off, not steeping it long enough. But I wont detour Mr Ments thread with a V2 sales pitch :18:

It's very rare a thread on here doesn't get off topic very quickly, part of the charm of POTV

We're still discussing custards so it's not really a detour. I've never tried V2, and as I quite like some other flavours described as puke I'll have to give it a try.

Rather than another custard thread does anyone make custard without custard?
Eh! What?
The principle is vanilla flavoured cream with anything else favourable to the mixer added for good measure and with all the great vanillas and creams out there do we need help adding vanilla to cream anymore?

I actually tried this early on.

I started vaping just as things were taking off and the only custard I knew was Grant's, which I found disgusting, and not knowing custard concentrates were available I tried to make my own.

I failed miserably, and even now, with 5 years experience I wouldn't know where to start.

The great thing about vanilla custard vaping is, that even if there where only ten concentrates, the variations on a theme, by adjusting percentages and concentrates used, would be vast, but there's hundreds of vanillin/custard/cream concentrates out there ! So variations are almost endless.

The hunt for the perfect custard goes on and, to be honest, I hope I never find it because, the journey of exploration is such a splendid and tasty one.

All good mate, but I have a tendency with my posts to derail :18:
Even when unintended :sleepy:
Gonna start one for Diacetyl, Acetoin and Acetyl Propionyl free one.
Betcha that'll be popular :sleepy: Ill be the President of the club, only member and sole contributor. :18:
Guarantee if I tap out anything more here...... "Diacetyl, why I oughta! What, you reckon acetoin is...take that!" :18:
