Thread title hasn't helped.

But seriously can you imagine what the reaction would have been by the general public if the government had said they were going to put us in a 2 month lockdown in march. I mean a proper lockdown, nobody on the streets or work (except essential infrastructure). Do you think most would have obeyed the law ! Some can't even follow the relaxed type of lockdowns we've been having. You'd have needed the army on the streets and that's not what they are for. Not sure of the legal aspects of live rounds being used on civilians.
Maybe governments of the past would see their job was to protect the public. Today's politicians are in it for the money, power and popularity votes. Fucking pathetic is what it is.Yip, and here is why I blame the government ..... they have one job to do here, protect the public.... it's clear the public needs protecting from themselves or we will be going on forever with tiers/Holidays go here but not there and other nonsenses that the public are never going to fully comply with......
Only the Governments can close down the airports, ban travel, etc....the public cannot do so
So yes full lockdown, army on the streets will protect the public IMO, anything short of this does not and will not work, it's been tried before and before and before
