I have noticed since I started diying a lot of recipes seem to lack the body/thickness of premium liquids you buy and sometimes the sweetness isn't always quite there
So yesterday after spending a bit of time looking through what Darkstar has to offer I came across the MTS

It is described as adding body and depth to your mixes "it ages your concoctions to perfection. It takes away those chemical like flavours it also smooths out any harshness"

I know it has to be used in very low percentages around 0.5 or 1% As it's quite powerful

Just wondering everyone else's thoughts on this stuff if you have used it

Also ordered some marshmallow as in the description it stated "use it to smooth and sweeten edgy flavours" which I have also found when mixing its usually using once shot concentrates I've had this and also some of of the fruit flavour recipes I've worked with

I use it all the time mate. I'm a bit wary of using too much as it can mute flavours but usually go for 2 or 3 drops in fruits and a couple more in desserts to take away harshness. I use it in drops as I don't trust my syringes. Also go for a a wee bit more if I'm wanting to add a bit of body to the juice.

Marshmallow's really good for adding body and sweetness imo. I've not noticed much of a smoothing effect but that might just be me.

I use it in my tobacco mix at around 1% (1 drop per 2ml), but that mix is 25% flavouring. You may need less in a lighter mix.

It definitely adds "body", but, as above, can ruin a mix if you use too much.

Yeah. I should also say I use the 2 or 3 drops per 10ml for fruits and perhaps 4 drops in a dessert with a few ingredients. Just saw Ment's reply there.

cheers lads, well they have both arrived today so looking forward to using them in a couple of batches of juice recently mixed but just lacking that little something so ill be cautious, hopefully make a difference

quick question on this stuff, does it take a while to come through or does it have a kind of instant effect, i used it in a mix last night at 1.0% didnt seem to make a blind bit of difference so im wondering if it takes time to work its magic ?

I always add it as I mix so I honestly don't know mate. I'd imagine it's like anything else though and would take a day or two to mix through properly.

aye last night i took 2 batched of different flavours i had mixed about 3 weeks or so ago. Peanut butter jelly & Apple Crumble both used VRU one shots. The Apple Crumble was still right harsh even after 3 weeks of steeping so i mixed it in at 1% to see if it helped, couldnt say i noticed a difference though and didnt want to fire more in, the peanut butter jelly just tasted of peanut butter infact it felt like being punched in the throat by a big angry peanut, again added 1% to that mix and didnt notice a difference, i also added 1% marshmallow to the apple just to add some sweetness

guess a couple more weeks steeping and ill see what direction its heading, its 400ml of juice so dont want to give up on it just yet

Aye, you're probably better leaving them both a week then try again. If it's a highish VG mix then the marshmallow and MTS might take a wee bit to mix through properly. I've added marshmallow to a mix after the steep and found it took 2 or 3 days to show up properly.
