this was political satire aimed at a prominent politician (a lady who in reality is clearly not the duzzlewit she is portrayed as - but such is satire, and if you make a choice to serve in the public eye - satire is what you will get).
it had absolutely zero to do with race - I saw a joke about a politician.
it was pulled up For being a joke about a black politician - a matter utterly irrelevant to the satire at hand.
you are then in a weird position where the person attempting to defend this politician is actually singling out the politician for being black. A matter I doubt anyone else gave a shit about.
Why can’t she just be a politician ? Why can’t she be judged by her actions as a politician rather than being a black politician?
i fail to see How we can have equality when people are singled out for their ethnic background - it’s ludicrous, no matter how misguidedly well intentioned.
