What's new

Did u get this email from Crème de Vape

I will, and I will also stand by my real name "Keith Baker".....and not behind some false forum name, hiding my trading name (prob trading under a Ltd)....put who you really are up....not just "Site staff"..........that way we can see the direction from where the criticism or support comes!

I'll offer these little bon mots de advice: chill your fucking beans.

Keith.

Dave isn't my real name. It's my online name just like Mawsley isn't my surname - but shhhhhh, no one knows.

Yeah I know.....I am really Kennith Bartrum....but who gives a shit????? But if you really want to have a pop....dont be affraid and hide behind a forum or trading name........after all, all these years I have traded under my own name (yup it is shit) but then I have never hidden otherwise! :14:

My stance is also a no to having to prove my age when i have a paypal account i use to pay for goods, a company that just goes and changes it's name must have a good reason for it or a bad reason so i would think twice about using them incase it's a big issue. Good job we can still buy most stuff from Fasttech and the likes. By the time TPD is done and dusted hopefully i won't need to worry about buying anything else anyway. hopefully nothing will change.
I do also have reservations about handing over info that proves my age due to the fact it will get passed round to other marketing, maybe big brother spies etc. Yes i am aware it is already being done but i don't want to give more info especially a copy of say my passport, birth certificate etc.
We need to get out of the EU and try a different Government for a change we always get lies from tories. David Cameron is a Villa fan who lied that he supports West Ham how can you trust anything he says. Labour can't be trusted we need a change and a big one at that.
This country and it's bullshit laws is whats causing it to lose out. People in the modern age of technology can not be fooled so easily. Corruption is big but it is being proven more and more.

This new proove your age business is another way to try and put us vapers back onto tobacco. It is hoped we get pissed off with the rules and think bollocks i may as well go back to smoking, i won't get the hassle i get just because i vape.
Next thing will be prove your not a pedo so you can go outside, prove your not going to drink the whole bottle of whisky or we can't sell it to you.
What those who make the rules want is for everyone to work 16 hours a day, pay tax on everything, have no life quality, or any time to enjoy yourself and they will keep inplementing rules till it happens while they claim false expenses etc and live life to the full pretending they actually care.

Creme de vape....or...

What concerns me is repeated online age verification could put a negative on my credit file, I'm told it's a small footprint that only I can see but repeated checks against my credit can't be a good thing.

think i might be fucked, not on the electoral roll, dont have a passport or driving licence, never owned a credit card or had any loans ect and only have a basic bank account

It's a good point to raise, many people cant easily prove who they are. I was using my paper driving licence until I got my passport in 2010. The Licence wasn't acceptable as standalone ID in many cases, hence the need for a myriad of paperwork with my name and address on, even those were hard to supply because all the insurances (apart from motor), utility bills and the like are in my wife's name. I didn't have a birth certificate because I was adopted. I did eventually get a copy of my adoption certificate and was then able to get a passport. I'm like you and only have a basic bank account, never had a debit card in my life, probably never will, thanks in part to voluntary insolvency.

We need to get out of the EU and try a different Government for a change we always get lies from tories.

The main reason the Tories want out of Europe is because they want to get rid of the European employment rules and regs, I think it's Cameron's intention to stay in the EU but to try and get an opt from them all. Even with a yes vote majority in the referendum I do not believe the UK will leave the EU. Something will be rigged, it's all about trade and money. The Tories have peddled lies, damn lies and statistics about the UK economy since 2010, scape goating the poor, the ill, the unemployed and the dying. Even child poverty doesn't exist anymore because they abolished the official definitions of it, and thus abolished child poverty. Nice people the Tories.

I don't have any problem with it but feel the powers that be are two faced. If I buy a knife or alcohol online I merely have to state I'm over 18 but no need to prove it. Vendors have no choice but to follow the law so they can't be blamed for that.

I bought some scissors from Asda yesterday, used the self service and all the alarms went off (so to speak). I wasn't asked if I was over 18 but I was asked if I would like to buy a carrier bag.

how to break the flawed bubble in one easy post on a forum.

anyone who owns a debit/credit card are normally over the age of 18.

anyone under 17 will have it sort of easy.
from the many forums ive visited over the years all the under 18s that need to buy something on line borrow mummy or daddys credit card number without them even knowing.
they take a picture using their mobile phone of mummy or daddys passport or driving licence. they set up a new account with the supplier and job done. they get juice.

the only way to be 100% sure it is that person is if it is handed over in person or dna and retina verification is used. so good luck on that one.

now time to do some real work using the data protection act for patient confidentiality.
