I suspect we are not
and sadly I suspect all the lobbying, signature collecting, court challenges and sense of basic human rights and libertarianism in the world are not going to stop what's coming.
My suspicion is the decision was made months or years ago, and it's all just posturing to make it look fair now.
did you see the latest meetings have all been done in secret with the tobacco boys behind closed doors? Despite that apparently not being allowed under some WHO ruling.
we can't fight the EU it's an inherently corrupt organisation invested in protecting big business. We will never win until we get out - and even then we still have our government to battle, was anyone else surprised they are one of the parties challenging the TW case?
Despite their protestations they thought the TPD was badly implemented?
meh... I'm just a total bundle of happy tonight
For me the corruption will always be wherever the power is and it is not all in the EU or the UK government the big corporations and the owners of the wealth know how to keep it all to themselves. As things currently stand it is more important they corrupt the EU institutions but around the world they will corupt whoever they have to and England leaving the EU is unlikely to improve your lot you have organisations that can make threats about thousands of jobs v organizations that individually employ a handful. There is nothing I can say to lift your spirits, It depresses me thinking about it.
As a community we could probably support a few independent traders against the big boys but as a community we are as crap as the rest of society.
I am of to bed.On a brighter note some crazy American Christians say tomorrow is the end of the world.
