Hi anyone able to shed light on disposables and warranty when purchasing online.

I know In shops it's usually a 30day jobby however online does consumer rights still qualify?

Purchased some disposables and a couple were dead within 2 puffs ie 100% faulty/duds, company is refusing to I replace or refund even though I emailed them within an hour of receiving my parcel?

Thats crap. Name the company. And don't buy Disposables. Job done :)

Hi @Anonvapes and welcome to the planet.

The forum is totally against disposables but as yours is a guenuine question the admin allowed it.
Was it a proper vape shop or one of these popup shops that does everything from phone unlocks and 50mg throw aways that are illegal in the uk.

Hi

As you purchased online distance selling laws apply.

They should be replacing them, i would personally write a complaint email to them explaining what happened, detail is key so when you received the goods, ehat happened and what time you called and the lack of any customer service.

Look up distance selling online law and quote that, explain what you want, ie: replacements or refund and that you are happy to return the product so the manufacturer can investigate.

Don't back down. They have an obligation to help you by law

i think i know who you mean. a couple of member have had issues in the past and just being fobbed off.

Maybe try what DeeDee mentioned above. the other option is contact them and say if nothing is done you will name and shame on all the vaping forums.

welcome to potv @Anonvapes :2thumbsup:

This is one vendors take on it, combined with statutory rights (the Consumer Rights Act 2015) and distance selling regs you should be entitled to a refund or replacement.

E-Liquids / Pods / Disposable E-cig Kits

E-liquids, pods and disposable e-cigarette kits are sold in sealed packs and not covered by a warranty. The only exception to this rule is when there is a manufacturing fault with an item. If you believe an item you have received is faulty on arrival please contact a team member within 7 days of receipt of the items.

i think it’s a grey area actually, with stuff that’s advertised as “disposable”. the distance selling regulations haven’t applied since 2014. they were replaced with the consumer contracts regulations in 2014.

but what’s relevant is the consumer rights act 2015, which sets out in section 9(2) that expectations of quality standards need to consider description and price. disposable + cheap probably means they can get away with saying you are on to plums.

Found another couple of online sellers' takes on it:
