So i started my eliquid mixing journey with this kit:
http://www.thealchemistscupboard.co.uk/DIY_Mixing_Starter_Kit_Gold/p1708884_9576441.aspx

And bought flavours from FA & a few capella flavours.

I can honestly say i have tried mixing every percentage you can think off but every juice i made had the same weird awful taste.

I am not sure if it is the AVG & PG + NIC that came with the kit but honestly it has really put me off DIY'ing . I must have spent countless hours and days but to no avail. If someone who can point me in the right direction with links of where i can buy quality stuff from to help and start all over again would be great.

Try VG + PG mix alone.
Try with added Nicotine.
Should eliminate those.

Also, did you steep? What flavours?

@bmkvaper tried that too still the same. i'm guessing it maybe the kit i bought :/

Some i steeped for couple of weeks.. flavours were a good mix of everything tbh. .ended up giving them all away after i failed miserably

When you say "kit", it has many different components and they can't all be to blame. Have you done as @bmkvaper has suggested and vaped the VG on its own, then added some PG etc?

We can recommend new suppliers, but it's important you establish what the problem is to avoid a repeat.

Tried just the 50/50 PG+ VG on it's own and yes the same weird taste that overpowered the flavours.

Seems like i need a new vendor to order my DIY supplies.

anyone used Make my Vape? . My friend said they are good but what are your thoughts?

@billy_idle i notices they do pre-mixed VG+PG so all you have to do is add the flavour and nic. this sounds pretty straight forward. Would you recommend this method or buying separate PG+VG. I normally vape 70/30 VG PG liquids

I think it makes it easier to calculate a recipe when they are not premixed because you need to add different ammounts of pg and vg depending on the ammount of nicotine and flavourings in the recipe. You can calculate the liquid with a premixed vg/pg with software like eJuice Me Up. CNet has a download.

Thanks @billy_idle .. I'll put in an order with them and see how it goes. Where would you recommend to get flavour concentrates from? TFA, Cap, PA?
