First Batch Made Up!

So I made a couple of testers when I got in from the shop last night, the grape definitely needs steeping for some time but the Cheesecake is really strong off the bat, could do with a little bit of body though its kind of dull, both of them needed a bit of Ethyl maltol (I have quite a sweet tooth).

72mg Nic base VG - 1ml
20% flavourings - 2ml
Vegetable Glycerine- 7 ml
then a few drops of maltol afterwards.

Thank you for all the replies & advice so far too, but one of the things that appeals to me is actually buying the flavours individually & properly developing my own fluids. I would definitely buy myself some concentrates though for being on the go.

Does anyone else think that 72/mg Nic Base actually smells like a Tobacco Liquid haha?!

Hi Ben, as has been said above, start off with 5ml testers and make sure you record your exact measurements when mixing flavours so you can repeat on your next batch if you like it or make some adjustments if you dont. Most people recommend Capella is steeped for 7 days (as we know your all eager to taste) but for a full flavour, try 21 days plus!

For the first half doz mixes, stick with one flavour until you get the basics right, then introduce multi flavours into your mixes

Capella flavours are really good quality, but if you like fruit flavours, try inawera. Very good, very strong with a recommended mixing guide of between 2% to 5%, although I would start nearer 5%.

Good luck with the mixing.

I'll definitely check them out, my main concern is literally wanting to make my own juices that stand up to some of the premium ones that people are going mad for. I wan't all my liquids to be absolutely spot! :p

Thanks for your advice & yeah I will definitely look into those fruits

I would invest in glass gear much better than plastic i.e. Plastic syringes after a few washes loose their markings you will get ppl telling you that they are cheap to buy and you get so many for a few pounds and such but this is false economy because your constantly paying out I would advise getting a 1-2ml glass syringe good for precisely measuring flavour another 2ml for nic a 5ml for both PG/VG and a load of BLUNT needles also a 50ml conical glass flask and a 250ml conical glass flask as well as a few glass stirring rods. Lastly a permanent marker with which to write on the glass syringes to label each syringe as to its use.

I recommend glass because as long as you look after the glassware it will last you a heck of a long time generally the measurements marked on them are more accurate also once you have given them a good wash after use they should not carry the smell or flavour over from the last mix.

I use 72mg and no I don't think it has a smell at all.

Well that's my bit of advice.

Happy vaping and.... Vape strong.
