Hello, I've started DIY-ing liquid. I've got this nicotine base ( 72mg ) from ebay. I've mixed a couple of juices to get 70/30 VG/PG and 4mg/ml . It was kinda harsh on my throat at the beginning (for only 4mg nic), but now its better. But it keeps giving me headaches though. I noticed the (unopened) bottle of nicotine is slightly pink. Do you think the nicotine could be bad, I could be bad at mixing it or I'm just not used to DIY-ed liquid ?

Any input is much appreciated.
Cheers

I think your mixing at too higher strength to what you need. Try dropping to 3mg. And the pink tinge is quite normal

I hope you shook the nicotine bottle well before using it, as otherwise the nicotine might not be mixed into the base properly and thus might be extra concentrated, so once you used it in your mix it might end up higher than 4mg/ml.

It can also be that way if youve not mixed your juice well enough creating areas of higher concentrated nic.
Also worth checking your mix calculations.
If you post the percentages and amounts of ingredients on here we will check them if you like.

Well, considering I use 6mg bought vape liquids... but will try to lower it thanks.

Very sorry, did not know that.

I realized that I only slightly shook it and should have done that more, when I read around other posts. I think that is probably the reason, but I wanted to ask about the pink colour, as I have read it really should be transparent, and coloring means that it has started oxidizing.

44ml VG 20 ml PG 4ml Nicbase.

Do you guys actually leave your mixes for a few days, shaking them 2-3 times a day? How much does that actually change compared to shaking it for 5 minutes once?

Cheers
