I built a dna 40 mod. It worked great for about a week but now I get "check atomiser" alternating with a normal display. Device does not fire. Tried loads of different attys all to no avail. I took it all apart checked connections, even tried a different external varitube 510 . Can anyone suggest a fix please?

Either the board is goosed or there is a bad connection between the board and the atty, this means either a dry joint on the board - usually the connection for the 510 positive pin, a damaged wire - usually the 510 positive wire, or the ground connection for the 510 is faulty - either a poor connection or damaged wire.

With a multimeter run a continuity test from the 510 centre pin to the 510's positive connection on the board, if that's OK then check the continuity from the body of the 510 to it's connection point which will either be on the board or the negative terminal of the battery, if that's ok then the board is the likely culprit...
