DNA Chip set, what makes it so expensive.

Won't be hard to find, not many places to hide in the Manabush tent. I'm there all weekend & I'm patient :D

My dna75 cost me 40 quid from grey haze about 18 months ago, so they don't have to cost the earth, and are great boards

Personally I myself have always wondered why both yihi and DNA device's cost so much.
I own both chipsets and I am still bemused at their higher price point.
With the DNA boards there is the extra benifet of being able to set your low battery cut off from 3.2v which most regulated mods use to something lower.
Then there is the fact both the yihi and DNA chipsets are 100% accurate when it comes to both TC and Wattage.
Out of the 2 chipsets I'd say yihi were slightly better as they do produce cheaper versions of their chipsets for companies more in the mainstream price bracket which virtually have all the same features as the top of the line chips.
As for the DNA chips they all appear to be expensive no matter which version you go for.

DNA are best. Yihi are very specific as to which chips are in a level with them, the cheaper versions aren’t.

Yihi have had a few boards out but you don't find the high end boards in anything other than the SX mods to my knowledge. I know the SX350j board is available for custom modmakers & the sx500 used in the GTRS VBOY 200. DNA C boards are availble to modmakers, custom builders & hobbyists. The R&D that has gone into these goes some way to explaining the higher price mark as well as after sales support.

Really? Nothing special ? Even the simplest of mods I have, all work great. They all do what they are supposed to. I never really read up on the features, all I saw was the price and didn't care from that point.
Its not greed .. its customer service and craftsmanship - and pride in what they do - I often find people say greed when they mean "I think thats a bit expensive in my personal opinion or for my personal tastes - but id really like one/some of that anyway"

two very different things

So true, as I said above I find evolv boards reasonable for the tech and I'm astounded how cheap (and slightly worried) the Chinese boards are.

I have 3 probably 4 soon. I do wonder though Smok vs DNA. Thats like comparing f64p rying steak again £7 sirloin

DNA boards and the mods they sit in are more expensive because they cater to a certain group of vapers.

If you just want a power source to smash vapour down your throat at mega watts then take your pick. The world is your oyster. If you want the cleanest, most true high wattage signal going at high power on a regulated (including Yihi in this one) then you buy a DNA.

Temperature control. If you want a manufactures interpretations of TC and a slightly too hot or slightly too warm vape then go buy Ijoy, Smok etc. If you want a true pinpoint precision TC vape that you can nail down by customising your board then buy DNA. Or Yihi if you speak double Dutch and have the patience of a saint to work the SX software.

They’re expensive because they’re better. In every respect. I’m fairly well travelled with mods and boards now and nothing touches the DNA in any respect functionality wise. Nothing.

It’s like walking into the Porsche dealership and asking why it’s so expensive. Because it drives better than the ford.

Or the Penderyn factory and asking why it’s more expensive than tesco whiskey. Because it’s more refined and a better experience.

You should try one. Then you’d answer your own question.
