It looks like you've wired the 510 negative to the board positive?

Ignore me I saw the board as the other way round.

Can you use a common ground or do they need to be separate?
Can't see any info on the data sheet.

Yeah, I was very careful to get them the right way round, this board doesn't have reverse polarity protection , so when the lights came on I knew at least that part was right

yeah , I contacted Stealthvape before I soldered anything and they have a common ground

Thanks for the link, went through the list of button presses and the response from the mod is as the text in the link says, although what I have noticed is with an atty screwed on its telling me OHMS too high which I don't understand.

Go back to your atty.
Ohms too high suggests there's a problem with the coil.

I have checked on 3 other dna devices and am vaping on it now on a dna75c , its good
