Hi all,

I've just got a DNA 75w and the manual is awful, the videos on youtube take an hour to tell you something which could be relayed in seconds.

Can we have a cheat sheet of the actual commands to operate the device?

I'll start:
To change profile: Hold the up and down buttons till you get a locked message, then use the up and down buttons to change profile. To select and lock the profile press the fire button.

From DanB:
Lock/unlock fire button (FB): 3x click fire
Normal/stealth: hold fire and - with FB locked
Lock/unlock resistance: hold fire and + with FB locked
Change material: hold fire, - and + with FB locked (+/- then cycles materials)
Change power: hold + and - with FB locked
Lock/unlock temp: hold + and - with FB unlocked
Change profile: 2x click + or - while temp is locked and FB is unlocked (+/- then cycles profiles)

From ConantheWarrior:
Lock the device, then hold both up and down-this will allow you to change the watts in temp dominant mode, or the temperature in watt dominant.

To lock resistance, again lock the device, then hold fire and the up button-this is good for atties that aren't as stable as you would like.

Stealth mode-again from the lock screen, press fire and the down button together.

To change materials, again from lock, hold ALL buttons, then you can cycle through with the up-down buttons.

To change between profiles, while unlocked hold up and down to lock the watts/temp. Then double tap either down or up, and you can cycle through your profiles.

Think that's everything for anyone else searching and finding this thread!

Thanks to everyone.

How do you change wattage in temp mode?

Lock it with 3 or 5 quick presses of the fire button then press and hold the up and down buttons at the same time, then adjust.

Unlocking will set the wattage at that selected back in temp mode.

@schlinky .in temp mode after setting the temp press the fire button five times to unlock again it will take you to the main screen where you can alter the attage, the set temp remains the same. On the left hand side it displays coil resistence which you can lock if you wanted to, the temp and the wire type ie, ni200, ss316, ti etc wattage is on the right and you just press up and down to alter. The temp can only be altered by locking the device then holding up and down together which puts you on the temp screen and you can alter the temp but need to unlock it again to get back to the main screen and vape on.

pressing up and down together on the main screen locks the wattage
to lock ohms goto temp screen ( fire five times) then hold fire and up.Fire and down scrolls between normal and stealth mode in either screen.
In temp mode hold fire up and down to change coil material.

I may have missed something but everything else is done on escribe ie custom screens, custom wires

Thanks for the feedback.

It's a bit confusing to be honest.

Hold up and down, can change temp
Hold up and down again, can change profile
Lock device (5x power), hold up and down, can change wattage

The thing that's confusing me now is why it's flashing temp protected after I've put the device down ;)
Going to have a look in Escribe again.

I find since the update that allows you to change materials on the mod, it is best to set up modes from soft-hard each with a different preheat and punch, and you can simply change the material for each profile from the lock screen.

Sorry yours come a bit Chinglish, I must say the SMY's manual is easy to read-but the devices are simple to use, so really that doesn't matter too much :).

That's great, thanks. A simple list of functions is what I needed, I think with this and the other posts we're there now. No doubt I'll be forgetting them for a while whilst I get used to things ;)

Thanks for the feedback.

The thing that's confusing me now is why it's flashing temp protected after I've put the device down ;)
Going to have a look in Escribe again.
The temp protected message can be changed in Escribe how many times it displays-you can change almost everything you would ever want with Escribe! I recommend the online tutorial on Evolvs website-this way you don't have to watch a video, and you actually use Escribe yourself while it tells you how to do each thing!

If you want to delve deeper like the older versions, choose manufacturer from the top toolbar-this gives you the most options to configure, such as battery curves and CSV's-but even in its standard config you still can set your device up perfectly.

Temp protected is just telling you the device is doing exactly what it should, stopping the temp going above the temp you set.Get your device linked up to e scribe and change the amount of times it flashes and you can set it to flash once or for as many times as you want, you may also start getting a weak battery message about half way through the battery charge, One way to avoid it flashing so early is to cut the preheat from 75 to 50 watts or 40 watts if you want, remember an istick 40 does tc and only uses the 40 watts it is capable of. This preheat is moments not even a second and because the battery power is lowering the dna chip recognises the battery doesn't have enough power to power 75 watts for a few seconds hence the weak battery message, also lowering the battery cut off will help remove the weak battery message i would set it at 3.0 v though you can have it as low as 2.75.
try holding the device pressing the fire button and watch the screen, you will see the wattage changing as you hold the fire button, this is how the chip maintains the set temp, the wattage goes up and down to maintain the set temp.

I changed it to only flash once. I'm always going to be hitting the temp limit ;)
I suggest taking a look in device monitor-this will show you just how good the DNA boards are at maintaining temp, it will hit the temperature then will be a smooth, stable line-this wasn't always the case with the DNA200's and SS, but now with SP3 it works amazingly.

That's great, thanks. A simple list of functions is what I needed, I think with this and the other posts we're there now. No doubt I'll be forgetting them for a while whilst I get used to things ;)
You will soon get used to it :), and your other mods may not see as much action as they did-i have a lot of regulated mods but I use the Evolv powered devices the most now, Yihi second as they are still great devices.
