Makes perfect sense there mate, but I did a little research earlier and the cutoff is under load, not a hard cut off, so you can go as low as 2.6V safely with 25R's or similar which function down to 2.5V .Temp protected is just telling you the device is doing exactly what it should, stopping the temp going above the temp you set.Get your device linked up to e scribe and change the amount of times it flashes and you can set it to flash once or for as many times as you want, you may also start getting a weak battery message about half way through the battery charge, One way to avoid it flashing so early is to cut the preheat from 75 to 50 watts or 40 watts if you want, remember an istick 40 does tc and only uses the 40 watts it is capable of. This preheat is moments not even a second and because the battery power is lowering the dna chip recognises the battery doesn't have enough power to power 75 watts for a few seconds hence the weak battery message, also lowering the battery cut off will help remove the weak battery message i would set it at 3.0 v though you can have it as low as 2.75
This will also stop the weak battery message from flashing up when it isn't actually low.
