The Simichrome leaves a non greasy protective film that slows down tarnish. I will let you know how it goes. [emoji6]

Please do, as I was thinking of using Autosol as a substitute. My reckoning is that if it doesn't hurt the chrome on my bike, it won't hurt a mod, but if Simichrome turns out to be better....

I use autosol and i also use a rejuvenater and polish for bowling balls, not got the bowling balls anymore but polish is great

That's a bit personal isn't it? what I do in the privacy of my own....
Oh you mean my mod...
Nah, it's anodised - just a quick wipe with a cloth is all it needs...

Autosol and Solvol are both good but are a bit harsher than Simichrome. I found on brass clocks Simichrome to produce a better finish.
