Do you squonk in TC mode?

I'm thinking of moving to squonking and I know it's something you get the feel for as you squonk but do you vape in TC mode to avoid the worst happening with dry hits?

I have done but as I only use SS I tend to squonk in wattage/power mode now. Too much faff for me and I personally don't see much benefit, often getting cool weak vapes. Once you learn to sense when a wick is getting dry before that nasty dry hit, you're golden.

I guessed it would be something you just get to know as you go along. Thanks for the reply @tootingyoda
I have no particular 'go-to' wire, I use SS, kanthal, and recently N80, all from a UD wire box that I got from FT a few months ago.

Yes. On top fed or bottom fed (squonk) RDAs where you can't see your juice you just learn to recognise that "getting dry" vape and know more juice is needed.
(Appreciate TC is more than simply avoiding dry hits)

Solid advice

As above. You get wise to the saturation of your wicks very quickly but I set a friends first squonker up with a spaced ssteel coil last weekend quite successfully. He was fairly new to rda' s and had scared himself with a few big dry hits whilst trying his first drippers. So I chose tc exactly for this purpose. As of yesterday all was still going well.
I imagine if you put some time into it and use some precise wires like titanium you really could get a consistent vape. I will say that I find fibre freaks no2 very user friendly for wattage squonking. It's very obvious if the wick is getting too dry and should you get a dry hit it doesn't seem to scorch too badly so as to effect ongoing flavour.

Just to add - when I started using drippers, I counted drops and toots, slowly building up until I learned how much juice to use and in that process learned to recognise when the juice was running out and now I don't need to look, all in the taste.

All fantastic advice guys, appreciate it. Just need to save pennies now for a new mod and RDA... oh well.
If I hit 100 posts I might put my SXMini Q class in classifieds.
