Ahh, you see. I’ve no wish for a throat hit. That’s why I use so little PG, in my juice. It absolutely does
throat hit is part of the overall flavour experience
so for tobacco for instance - i think a larger throat hit is more desirable than in say a vanilla cream
its why i dont think salts work well with tobaccos
I think, when I first gave up. I wanted to get as far away from the cigarette experience as I could. Always considering I was vaping.I went nic free off and on for a few years, and never really felt any withdrawals. It was the lack of throat hit that sent me back to 3%, especially when having a few beers. I notice the difference, but it is probably different for each individual.
No throat hit no sale.

I quite naturally, went right to DTL, from almost the first toke on a vape. MTL just made me chuck up a lung.
Strangely, now, it’s the other way round. Unless I’m on 90 VG.
Though my MTL nic is still 3mg. Even though I can now tolerate 50-50 juice.
Im the opposite, no throat hit, not interested. When I started and couldn't get nic I tried Flavour Art Flash, that crap should carry a warning! Its hit is by capsaicin ingredients, your vaping pepper spray virtually it gave me huge asthma attacks that my inhalers couldn't stop. I went zero for a while but it was to me rubbish, probably because I stopped smoking and bonging at the same time. Was like chips with no salt. As soon as I got nic, 3mg DTL "thank you very much"Exactly the same as my experience. I really struggled with MTL and found it tore at my throat with 12mg. I went to DL at 3mg and took to it instantly with no problems. I decided to give MTL another go and had exactly the same reaction - chronic sore throat and coughing my guts up.
It turned out it wasn't the nic level or 50PG, in my case it was the type of nic. I tried 50/50 salts at 10 and 20mg and had no adverse reactions whatsoever so it definitely wasn't the PG that was screwing me up - it was Freebase nic.
I can Vape 3mg Freebase in DL, but when I tried 6mg in an RDL tank that gave me similar problems, but it was a gradual build up of discomfort and coughing rather than the instant problems I had with 12mg.
A good thing is I no longer crave any kind of throat hit (and I've never vaped tobacco flavours) so it helps distance me from the smoking experience.
