You will love the Mutation over the Derringer. Derringers are crap.

Well I ordered it after trying someone else's one and loving it. Not the same model, but fuck it, should be close enough and a big change from the Derringer.

Out of curiosity, what was the problems you found with it? It's bloody good.. It retired my Origen v2 the flavour is that good when set up right.

The air flow is good too imo.. You can go from a blue face tight draw to being able to breath trough it.

The deck is quite big for the size of it and it shouldn't leak while upright if no Wick is touching the cap.

I found the air flow not up to my standards and I didn't rate the flavour I got from it. But, that is just me. It is probably a good dripper to some, but not to me I'm afraid.

I always find the top of my mod to be covered in juice after using it, not sure how that happens as I can't see where it is leaking from.

Maybe it's spatter coming out the air intake.

With mine I build it with the coils as close as possible to the air intake with air hitting just below centre of the coil..

It may be to do with your wicking.. Too loose and you'll get pockets of juice which will "pop" when heated....

Too tight and it'll bottle neck the wicking and causing juice build up next to the coil..

Also.. It could be that you either need more air or less power... But I dunno your setup so that's the best I can advise.

It's a fine line getting it just right.. You'll still get some spatter but it's not worth a mention it's that little imo.
