I have a £1200 oak table in the dining room, and I build and do all my vape stuff on there....it protects the table, looks cool, and is soft enough that if I do drop something it's not gonna smash.....it's also big enough to have a few things on the table at once....rather then having kitchen roll or place mats

As it happens, these sort of mats are available.....I used to have one when I repaired and restored watches
