I have a watch problem and have many watches and I used to have the last old chap in town who repaired them all. He retired and still fixed them for me from home but sadly he passed away last year. No one fixes watches any more. They just want you to buy new ones.
 
To clarify @Jugg1es these are like a hard plastic material we are talking about? Or are they a soft flexible material, rubber for example?
 
@puffinclouds they are quite flexible with a spongy matt plastic top. Think of that cheap arse magnetic tape you can get that you find on fridge magnets, the ones that fall off regularly. Won't hold a bit of plastic to a fridge but will attract bits of wire and small screws.
