Dry burn the coils or not?

Jeez... been lazy. I need to change my coils more often - too often I just burn off and brush, then rewick.

I am currently experimenting with aliens, juggernauts and flaptons. I do not reuse the coils I throw them away after a week use when I wick the tank. But I still do dry burn at first built as it is quite difficult to make those coils evenly. I can see that it could be easy if you space simple coils evenly and use it without dry burn but what about more complex coils? how can you make them to heat evenly without dry burning?

It only has to be a tiny gap so the wraps don't touch and it works wonders [emoji5]

It's starting to look that way. I wouldn't mind chucking a coil after a week. Wire is cheap anyway - especially the pre built wire

The non premade stuff’s even cheaper. Just buy it in blocks and roll it out.

Yes, if you space them they will always glow evenly from the outset, therefore you don't have to dry burn them if you don't want to.
