Just in case you aren't angry enough at the EU yet, I got a double blow today - I found out that the EU is going to ban most of the ingredients used to make cosmetic fragrance oils as well. Why? Because 1% of EU citizens are or could become allergic to them.

These ingredients will only be banned from comsetics, not from cleaning fluids and food. They include essential oils like Lavender, Citrus (all citrus fruits), Rose and Sandalwood, Oak Moss and Tree Moss.

What does it mean? Your dishwashing liquid will still have over 20% of citrus ingredients in it, especially the eco-ones, but Chanel No5 will cease to exist.

Yes, those fragrance components will still be allowed in e-liquid. They are classified as food flavours and therefore they don't even have to be mentioned on the label. But I am not allowed to use that same flavour concentrate for lip balm, in case someone gets a rash....

Is vodka banned yet? I may need a very large bottle today....

Very nasty - I wonder what's going to happen with all the 30ml of pre-made juices ordered and over 20mg Nic? Also what vaping kits/tanks will not be allowed anymore, AND no more orders from FT? Will this all stop or else become HIGHLY taxable? Anybody know yet or is it too early?

Cockwombles the lot of 'em. I never used to believe in conspiracy theory mumbo jumbo until this. It's so blatantly bent it's almost circular. I can see replays of Ukraine happening all over Europe if those fools carry on at this rate, you can only push people so far

I agree with your sentiments entirely, but how many of the 8000 plus members on potv got off their fat arses and even looked at any of the news threads that were put up. I think its fair to say that all vapers are aware of the situation but how many even bothered to vote from the planet. IMO not feeking many. They should all hang their fucking heads in shame.

Sorry rant done. I'll get back in my box and sharpen my things, for the revolution.

Words simply fail me :(

Right, this seems to come up time and time again. Let me ask a question, if I may?

How many of the 8000 members of the forum are ACTIVE, REGULAR visitors? How many are overseas members who wouldn't count in a UK or EU petition?

So, there are 8000 members on the forum - even if each and every one were eligible to sign the latest petition or whatever, that still leaves a shortfall of 1492000 vapers (if we assume there are 1.5 million UK vapers). Even if you take into account the members of other forums who are not multiple site members, I think you are still a lot of vapers short of 1.5 million.

So I would say quite loudly that no, not every vaper is aware of what's going on - only those of us who are passionate about what we are doing, and who frequent forums and the like. The vast majority of e-cig users will be cigalike and eGo users, who buy their supplies from one place and vape away quite happily. I would suggest that they haven't got a clue what's going on, because aside from one or two crappy articles on TV, there has been very little media coverage of the TPD.

Forget trying to shame people into a response - it will have completely the opposite effect. @vapegeek has hit the nail on the head. I've droned on about the various responses in another thread, so won't bore you with that again. Now is the time for A SINGLE response for the UK, which all e-cigarette users can use to register their disquiet, and to support whatever aim is proposed - regardless of whatever barriers exist between the various online communities - communities who I suspect actually represent the MINORITY of "vapers" in the UK.

The single UK response needs to be promoted primarily by all vendors, closely followed by the online communities. That way the MAJORITY (or a lot more) will be reached. People are buying their vaping supplies from somewhere, and aside from the Planet, I am fairly certain they are not buying from any forum based marketplace.

Assumption is the mother of all fcuk ups - and I feel that when considering who is and who isn't responding, one must be VERY careful not to assume anything regarding who knows what and to what degree when it comes to a group of individuals with something in common - some will be passionate about the point in question and others who will have absolutely no idea at all. Just because they vape doesn't mean anything other than they all vape.

Sorry if my post comes over as a bit harsh, but finger pointing and angry words aimed at each other will do very little other than start to develop into contempt and conflict.

Just my thoughts (and none are aimed at any one individual, promise!). :D

Head of nail firmly hit, and a much more eloquent and nice response than I would of made

If Scotland get independence, they wont get into the EU.
I would easily imagine it would become a hotbed of vaping supplies.
Just a thought

Whilst we have holes in our arse and breath, Scotland wont gain independance, period!

There's also an incredible cliqueyness among certain vapers with a tendency to expend energy against any individual they may disagree with, rather than combine to face a common foe. Humans. Go figure.

Care to elaborate??

Could someone outline exactly what impact it has on us and when it will be implemented please? I'm a bit lost.

its very true there aren't that many regular posters here i always see the same people and I know they are fighting like hell for our rights and I applaud them fully and sign petitions and email mep's but even people who aren't members here should be signing it and emailing politician because at the end of the day whether its about vaping or not its a violation of civil liberties and human rights which the eu seem to go on about so much - i've signed my gf signed my dad signed and he doesnt even vape neither does my bro but he signed too and I email meps regularly and ask others to also my dad has talked to his local mp and councilors about it.

Couldn't have said it better! On our own we are just faceless numbers but togetherness brings strength! If we fight amongst ourselves then they have won-divide and conquer! We have to work as one if we are going to get anywhere.

Can I just throw my tuppence worth in for a sec, it won't take long.

It seems to me that it wasn't that long ago that we won a vote, and there was much backslapping and congratulation between all on how well we had stuck together and how everybody had done their bit.

Now we have lost a vote and nobody has bothered to do anything (apparently).

You can't have it both ways, either vapers are doing enough or they aren't, but please don't lets start allowing sour grapes to split us. A broken square is easy pickings for cavalry, which is what we will become if we don't accept what has happened and push forward as a UNITED group.

Remember : Divide and Conquer equals Become Divided and Suffer.
