NO.
Some of us didn't want "IN", in the first place. If I remember similar tactics where used there as well. Like the one they tried with the single currency, and where told to f..k off, by joe public.
As the man said it ain't over till the large person sings.
Take a look at the daily intake of new users on this forum alone.
They only have the same argument to work with. We have science and truth on our side. As well as an ever growing voice from users and advocates. At the present rate of take up, the number of users will soon equal or surpass the number of smokers.
Don't forget, every time the number of vapers goes up. The number of smokers goes down.
If we roll over or let up on the pressure on our own government at least. Then we have lost.
If we can get just one vaper to MP status or better, (Matt Gluggles would be awesome. The last I heard was he was going to stand against the witch herself.) The rest of them will s..t themselves.
So stop wallowing is self (what ever the word is) and go get.

If everyone in the uk stopped smoking the loss in taxes would be £12 billion give or take, I would imagine governments will do whatever they can to make sure we don't give up the weed. A cynical view maybe but ..........

Yes. However new rules will be put in place so that the product’s safety and quality can be assured. The new rules are designed to ensure equal treatment across the EU for nicotine containing e-cigarettes (products that do not contain nicotine are not covered by the Directive).
So empty tanks don't contain nicotine and can be used to vape non nicotine eliquids. So does this mean all of the hardware we use today isn't covered by the directive?
If all devices were (as on ebay) classed as "eshisha" would that be a way around it?

Im not that active on forums but have signed a few petitions when I've seen them. But this is the first time I have seen this one. I think there needs to be just one. So people like me who are not very active don't get confused about what's going on. It all seems to fragmented at the moment. If we don't unite and have just one then we will not be heard.
P.s is there a link to this petition so I can sign this as well.

firstly i think its rather harsh to be having a dig at the 8000 members here.. in fact bang outa order tbh.
how many of those 8000 are actually active members, probably less than half. how many vapers in the UK.. even if we say 1 million and with 5000 members thats half a percent of the UK vaping public.
how many of those million vapers are regular people who arent aware of whats going on in the world and just took up vaping to help quit there smoking addiction.
its hardly front page news and unless your purposely looking for details on article 18 in the grand scheme of things its a very small fish in a very large pond that in the main has pretty much gone unoticed among joe public.
and POTV is the same. a very small fish in a large UK vaping pond when you consider the numbers that are bandied around about the number of vapers.
so how do you band together a million vapers votes ? How do you spread the word to a public audience that is more than likley not even aware whats gone on?
it doesnt even make front page on bbc. you have to go to health section and even then the headline says SMOKING.
it states
[h=2]Tough EU smoking rules approved NEW[/h]Flavoured cigarettes will be banned and larger health warnings will be required as part of tough new EU legislation.
no mention in that headline of ecigs or vaping
and most likely the same thing across national newspapers. maybe a small article buried deep inside but in the main largley ignored.
so how do you spread the word?
facebook? twitter?
how do you reach a target audience if they arent in your friends list or following you on twitter?
how do you get to those 1 million vapers and get the message across without sounding like an angry mob.
yes im bloody annoyed and disgusted that people who are supposed to be a democrotic body have gone behind the backs of scientists, specialists, doctors and the general public and brought about an amendment that will not only Kill millions but is so full of holes it makes a sieve look like the walls of fort knox.
but like almost every other vaper im just a regular bloke on the street. i have little knowledge of the intricaies of politics. im not one for fancy words, i dont have access to scientific facts that i can back up with proof and i dont have the backing or clout behind me to make a difference.
Or do I?
yes im one voice. one single person who cares about hes friends and family and future generations. about hes own health and that of those around him.
so ratehr than vent anger and blame on the 8000 people here none of which can be held responsible for the shambles that article 18 and the EU is.
the time now is to look forward. seek a way to fight an oppose and turn around this nonsense.. find our champion and stand side by side with them with our full support and once voice.
how we do this.. i dont know who stands for vapers of the EU.. i dont know. i dont have those answers very few of us here do.
the biggest problem is uniting that one voice. findining the single focus point that all vapers can hone in on and give there support rather than the thin splintered factions it has been.
find that one unanimous source and gather all the parts to make a single complete whole and then push forward and topple this injustice.
