Hello, thought it was about time I introduced myself, would have done it sooner but I'm awful at this kind of thing... never know what to say...

I'm Jen, I'm from Birmingham and I've been vaping, along with my partner, for just over a month. We started as a way to quit smoking as everything else we'd tried hadn't worked, including his awful 6 week stint on champix. I've been semi successful, I don't 'smoke' now but still feel the urge to have a crafty drag on other peoples cigs every now and then just to reassure myself I'm not missing out. The bit I miss most is rolling more than the actual smoking.

We both started out with bog standard egos and ce4 clearomizers, neither of us were keen, I wanted something with a bit more flavour and he couldn't stand the leaking, so I moved onto an Evod on an ego twist and he onto a GS-H2 which cracked within 2 days. Since then he's gotten a Kanger MT3 (although we suspect it's not a genuine one) and I've started dripping on my lovely purple octopus which I am very fond of :) We've tried a fair few juices, and found some we really liked and a few we hated, particularly a dodgy Dr Pepper flavour that I can only imagine is how Dr Pepper would taste if I sucked it through the heel of one of my fella's day old work socks! lol

So.. erm.. yeh, that's me I suppose :) I'm hoping to learn some things while I'm here, particularly rebuilding, as I have a rebuildable that I am yet to rebuild!

Hiya and welcome to the Planet :) Don't worry about the odd drag, it took me 18 months to finally quit after cutting down from 40 a day to about 5 a week. And one of our esteemed Admins, ZT once compared the taste of Dr. Pepper vape to dried wasps, s you aren't alone!

:D welcome to the planet!

Dont worry about being awful at this kind of thing (have you seen some of our posts :P) We're all a pretty good buncha apes :)

Hi and welcome!

Like Lord Grim said, sometimes the best final nail in the cig coffin is to have a drag and remind yourself of how nasty they are. Gemma (who runs VV with me) couldn't shake the craving for a good 3 months, and the last straw was a flat Ego battery in a traffic jam. She took two drags of a roll-up and launched it out the window never to smoke again :)

Rebuilding sounds like it might be a good idea for you to get into, it's about as close to crafting a rollie as vaping gets... only way more rewarding when it goes well. I think there may be some guides on here on rebuilding the Evod if you have a dead coil you want to have a crack at before trying the octopus

Welcome to the planet!

I missed rolling as well when I switched over. I replaced it with rebuilding wicks, it's not quite the same but you do get a little surge of satisfaction when one of your creations does exactly what you wanted it to, sort of similar to rolling a 'perfect' smoke.

It took me less time to learn to make a decent coil than it did to roll a rollie.
