"The EU is seeking to tax e-cigarettes, and this is not a surprise. Hence, the Commission has launched a public consultation on tobacco excise that is open until February 2017."

There is an online survey that anyone can complete. Please follow the links so your voice can be heard. It mainly pertains to taxation.

Until we have fully Brexited, we will be subjected to EU TPD laws. Following Brexit, the UK gov will probably not have time to revise every law. The TPD will be low on the list of priorities so assume that most of the TPD will apply to us in the UK for the foreseeable future.

Scaremongering. The TPD was transposed into UK law as TRPR . With Brexit underway no novel tax proposals from Brussels will be considered by UKG.
Following Brexit the UK will HAVE to "revise" all EU derived laws. In fact the UKG will do this before a final break from the EU.

Don't mean to scaremoger, just think that with the way that things have gone in Poland, Portugal, and Italy, it wouldn't be a bad idea to let the EU know that there are people out there that care about the issue.

I'm not sure that's true.

Once we leave we have the option to repeal any laws that the EU imposed on us, but I can see no reason why we need to revise every law as they are UK laws.

Looked at questionnaire , heat not burn tobacco products , Fuck my life when are these greedy fuckers gonna admit that e cigs neither heat or burn any kind of tobacco . Pure fuckin' greed .....

WTF is a borderline cigarillo? An e-cig?

I might not be the cleverest person but i'm no daft, anyone else find that survey and the way it's worded difficult to understand?

Not sure if I want to fill this in or not. It appears to me to be just the thing that will yield data that could be interpreted and presented how ever they choose it to be. There is quite a few 'beat about the bush' questions there that seem to be asking the same thing but in a different way over and over again. Also, as somebody had mentioned, the questions seem deliberately obtuse. I see only one reason a questioner would be worded and set out this way and that is to confuse. Not sure if filling out something like this would do more harm then good.

Thank you, I was hoping it wasn't just me. I abandoned it because I really wasn't happy with the questions.

Good point about surveys/questionnaires - one needs to be careful and mindful of how data could be used. Will take a look myself in a minute.

As for legislation - the 1972 European Communities Act will need to be repealed and any piece of legislation it affected will need to at least be amended if not eventually replaced altogether.
