I believe the lipstick and perfume thing is about tobacco cigarettes - can't say I'd noticed any packaging like that, even before they imprisoned the stinkies behind those doors in the supermarkets.
I don't think she still smokes (as her daughter told her to stop)but it wouldn't surprise me to find on her autopsy report "strange puncture wounds in her groin/between her toes" where she's been mainlining "pure bullshit"
