I thought I would share my evolution, mistake purchases included.
From Left to Right
SPOC as I named it (spitting piece of crap) or it's real name - Totally Wicked Rocket - rated 1 out of 10
This awful awful mod & tank almost made me quit vaping right at the start! it's spits juice in your mouth and simply a rubbish designed top fill which leaks all the time into the chamber causing the spitting.
VapBus Triton
Now this little pocket sized mod & tank has been my most reliable purchase, I am never without it, slips into my pocket nicely and never leaks, spits or dry hits (apart from once when I went too higher wattage)
If this broke I would replace it in a heartbeat.
Not great for high wattage lovers as it's max is 50 Watts but I use it around 30 Watts and I get a great cool vape with plenty of flavour (see my seperate post) rated 8/10
Arc Pico Grande by Totally Wicked - it's actually a rebranded Eleaf and was actually my saviour into vaping, it's by no means perfect and awful for flavour, I spent many a frustrated days chasing the right combo juice & atomiser but ended up purely using it for 50/50 juices and it did the job, plenty of cloud and performs well, even better with the Aspire Triton tank on it (I haven't shown the original tank as it's just pants and I never use it now.
BUT this was the mod that got me to quit smoking so it served it's purpose - rated 5/10
(I might add it to 6 out of 10 as I added a Star Wars logo on the standby screen lol)
Smok T-Priv (original Red Big Baby tank removed and using a Big Baby Beast with RBA)
THIS mod was a game changer, it was the first time I fell in love with Vaping! not only does it look great but after frenzied package opening, priming the coil and waiting for it to soak - my first taste of REAL vaping! - I had Vape Avenue L P Crust (lemon tart) and after increasing the wattage little by little I hit the sweet spot and WOW! - proper smooth flavour and cloud that made me grin from ear to ear, in between vapes I also took pleasure out of looking at it's fantastic design.
Rating 9/10 (it would be higher if the stock coils weren't so short lived)
Hindsight being a wonderful thing I would NEVER have bought the Rocket (or SPOC) and if I had known about POTV I am sure I would have had a far better start to my vaping journey.
The Smok was a game changer in many ways, the crap coils led me to RBA builds which I really enjoy, and when I get the right build the satisfaction is a real buzz, I enjoyed smoking but I love vaping.
I have spent a ton of money on gear, some wasted and some a great investment, but I am learning by the day and already started mixing my own juices (be ready for more newbie juice mixing questions sorry!)
My advice to anybody thinking about quitting smoking and starting vaping is to ask advice on here, I regret not doing so myself even though my son advised me to.
