Fake Charger

That type of dodgy plug (small unfused) was highlighted before last christmas as being dangerous. It was shown on This Morning programme IIRC.

Putting charger aside the service being provided by NDB over this issue seems appalling imo.

Indeed.

We have gone from

What a complete and utter load of tripe

Once again our company is under attack, this time people are accusing our i4 chargers as been fake, I hope this clears everything up... as always all our products are genuine, why would a business of our stature sell fakes?

Please read our latest facebook post linked below which verifies that our i4 chargers are geniune...

to

im thinking that the dodgey one sold could have been part of an old batch we received from a Chinese supplier or even a sample that we had sent that got mixed in with our stock, if this is the case and in fact the charger is defective then we sincerely apologise, we have told the buyer to return the charger for a refund or replacement, yet he hasn't but instead has taken to facebook and the forums.

and in fact it seems like the charger was delivered back to the vendor Monday lunchtime, and 4 subsequent emails to the vendor asking for a refund have not been addressed so far.

As I said earlier,

A company stands or falls based on how it deals with things when they go wrong, rather than how things go when they go right. That's why we buy from trusted vendors, so we have the security of knowing they will deal with issues properly when things go wrong. It is taken as read that batteries and chargers should be fit for purpose, so how do you deal with it when they are not?

The last 3 orders for chargers have come from a nitecore official distro, im thinking that the dodgey one sold could have been part of an old batch we received from a Chinese supplier or even a sample that we had sent that got mixed in with our stock, if this is the case and in fact the charger is defective then we sincerely apologise, we have told the buyer to return the charger for a refund or replacement, yet he hasn't but instead has taken to facebook and the forums.

Look, you got caught out, either a dodgy charger from an old batch, or a dodgy sample from a supplier, or you got a good deal that you couldn't resist and they slipped shonky ones into the order to increase profit margins. Whatever the cause you need to sort this out - and quickly. You're rapidly losing any support from vapers and your communications have been inconsistent and sometimes contradictory.

Simply Apologise to the customer, refund his money and place an "Urgent Action" notice on your website and in your Emails specifying that it is possible that a small number of fake nitecore chargers may have made it through your checking process and that anyone having purchased a charger from you that they are worried about should contact you as soon as possible.

Yes, it's going to mean you're busy for a bit, yes your profits might take a hit replacing any dodgy one that escaped - But the alternative as I see it is that your reputation is going to be destroyed, you'll have lost the trust of everyone on this forum - and several others and reviewers and bloggers are going to end up talking about you in very negative terms. It seems a hell of a lot to lose for the sake of a £19.99 charger...

That's all I wanted just an explanation and maybe a sorry it shouldn't have happened and refunded me.
Thats all it should have needed - An "Ah, shit I thought I'd checked them all, I'll get a replacement straight out to you" and then thris thread would have been about how a vendor quickly and effectively dealt with your problem and a gentle warning to everyone that there are fake Nitecores out there.

Could you pop those two screenshots of the Parcel tracking and signature on this thread too - it will keep the whole thing in one place and mean everyone - including NDB has the information...

Please note that here in post #126 (directly above) the customer has supplied images of the tracking info - including the signature and the "Printed Name" section that the delivery agent (Postman) fills in - Which says " J Malon" and gives the Date and time as Oct 2nd 2017 at 1:40pm - I'd say thats evidence enough that he returned the charger - Please just sort this out...

Going to take a whole lot of back peddling if this has not already come to fruition.

I have also posted the link to to this thread on your FB page - I am hoping you will return the favour and not delete that one so people can see why you have been accused of selling fake chargers.

And....... he has deleted your post with a link to this thread from his FB page.

Josh. You need to deal with this now - if theres ANY chance of there being more than one of these chargers out there - you need to mailshot every customer that has bought one from you. God forbid - one of these goes bang and sets a house on fire and someone gets hurt or worse, you'll have to live with that forever.

Admit, fix, lose money - move on.
