Finally decided to take a dip into the world of forced patina's.
Had a brass mod that I wasn't using so watched some video's and joined a Facebook group to get some advice and gave it a go.
Sanded the mod to get a good base for the patina to stick to. Washed and dried the tube. Plugged the tube with some wine corks. Then I went for a combination of mustard and salt along with an ammonia fuming chamber. Total time in chamber was about 2 hours spraying the tube about every 30 mins with an ammonia and salt solution. Once done rinsed under a hot tap, dried and given three coats of clear lacquer. More than happy with the result.
