First real mech

Gerrr, turns out the bull logo is gilded. So now I have to find a way or removing that, whilst not effin up the work I've done so far. I'd leave it. But the buffing has removed some,
on the higher points. Should have realised. Hey ho.

Anything I don't fix, I call a feature, polish the puppy and move on, it'll wear off in it's own good time.

Lol. My other half recons I'm scared to finish it off, just in case I've messed it up. There my be a grain of truth to that.

You could always try boiling it with baking soda to see if it just lifts off if it is indeed just gilding but there comes a point where you're just wasting time on it. Pleased you've shown the patience to get it this far so you'll need to decide if it's worth bothering with.

Finally built a setup for the mech. Brochrome 21g 3mm id 8 wrap at .14 ohms in a Gnome V2 clone.
Bit much metal, need 23g really, but it vapes fine.

My go-to is 24 awg, 6 wraps for a dual coil comes out around 0.16-0.17, very quick ramp up, love it in my single-cell setups.

Mech's looking good too.

Thanks for the advice @John R .
Looks like @Rob will be getting an order for 24g when spendo time arrives. And some spool tamers too. Boy that brochrome is springy stuff.:56:
What, if any, complex coils would you suggest, for a mech. I was thinking of giving @Smut a job?

I was educated by @EmbraSewerRat and a couple of others in the art of coils for mechs, less is more when it comes to single-cell adventures. I stick to brochrome. When I break out the stacked I use kanthal claptons.

I make my own, if you'd like me to make something up for you just PM me and we can sort something, think I mostly have stainless and nichrome wire knocking about.

Dual 24g brochrome 5 wrap 2.5 id @ .15 ohm in a CV Goon V1.5. Boy those coils look tiny.
